If we are “born again,” we are given over to a new (and supernatural) spirit, empowered to resist the flesh and participate in God’s will. Not perfect doers of His commandments, but expectant ones. Accepting His invitation to love others and His decree to feed His sheep (His lost and hungry sheep.) Commissioned to become prophets of the Good News. Called to leave behind earthly treasures, to share His burden (and strength,) and to follow His Kingdom examples (beatitudes and parables.)

Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so is everyone who has been born of the Spirit.
John 3:7‭-‬8 NASB2020

If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
John 3:12

Being born again is not about “where we are going.” That is a human (worldly) perspective. “Born in spirit” is about what has come to us. A supernatural and miraculous indwelling of the Spirit of God. Access to strength, courage, wisdom, ego-denial, vision, and many other gifts, where only counterfeits existed previously. It begins with a decision and unfolds as an extraordinary journey into God’s kingdom. A decision to leave behind our worldly ways and embrace the love of God and the love of others as our highest priorities. We are accepting Jesus’ teachings and examples as our roadmap. And the Holy Spirit (the helper) as our guide.

Jesus, our Lord, our God, we implore you! Make these temples clean. Make these temples yours. Make them acceptable to your Spirit. Make them home to your commandments. Purify them of all unrighteousness. Make them a place of healing and grace. Fill them with your supernatural power to make all things new.
