I Just Long to be Heard

Time marches on
I can't keep up

The dead aren't forgotten
I see them everywhere

Purpose seems overrated 
But I've found mine

If patience is a virtue 
I'm the King of the world

Watching the world go round 
I feel a need to participate

Exploring the inner workings
I simply gotta get out of here

Coming from humble beginnings
I'm trying not to finish poorly

Last but certainly not least 
I just long to be heard
