Let the Little Children Come to Me

Before we can enter the Kingdom of God, we first have to receive it. How? By reaching for Jesus with the joy and uninhibited adoration of a child. What a picture! We are surrounding Jesus, jumping up and down with unbridled energy. We reach out our arms, hoping he will lift us up. We squeal and giggle at the prospect. All the while Jesus is smiling and laughing as He reaches out His hands to touch each one of us, saying, “Bless you, child! The Kingdom of God belongs to you!”

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.

Mark 10:14&15 NIV

So let’s pursue Jesus with the joy of a child and unending enthusiasm. Always reaching for Him, seek His protection and blessing. Always shouting His name like we believe the name of Jesus represents God’s unending love and assures our place in the presence of the King of Kings.

Lord Jesus, We abandon all our longings to be anything other than a child of God. Lift us up and toss us into the air. We know you will be there to catch us again. The thrill and excitement of the ride are all the adventure, assurance, and validation we will ever need. Your blessing is our only desire.
