Jesus delivered a word (a commandment)

Jesus delivered a word meant to free us from the darkness. This word has power. This word is a progressive process. This word provides a way to assess and measure (judge) our sanctification. This word does not condemn us. This word leads us to freedom. This word reveals His light to us (and in us.)

The word delivered by Jesus:

I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness. John 12:46 NASB2020

This word is a precious gift. This word is an invitation to participate in Jesus’ teachings and His purpose – to save a world imprisoned in darkness.

If anyone hears My teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world (v 47‭.)

The word that will judge is a choice that stays with us till the end. The light cannot be extinguished. As long as we can see the light, we can choose to enter it.

The one who rejects Me and does not accept My teachings has one who judges him: the word which I spoke. That will judge him on the last day (v 48.)

The delivery of the word is a commandment from the Father to Jesus. An example of God the Father revealing himself through Jesus the Son.

For I did not speak on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak (v 49.)

Father God, thank you for giving Jesus this word to give to us. Thank you, Jesus, for delivering the word to us. Thank you for being the light, removing us from the darkness, and showing us the true nature of our Father in heaven. Thank you for this pathway to freedom. In your name, we pray.
