Emotions are hard. 
Sentiments are sticky 
Life is short
Devotion is tricky 

Love can burn 
Beauty can dazzle 
Whims will pass
Anxiety will frazzle

Roses have thorns 
Children have stages 
A man strives 
A storm rages
